1. What Is Physiotherapy?
The treatment of injury and/or disease through exercise, massage, & other natural means, as an alternative to drugs & surgery. Physiotherapy helps people regain, sustain, & improve their movement & overall well-being.
2. Do I Need A Doctor Referral?
No doctor referral is needed to see a Physiotherapist. That being said, some insurance companies do require a doctors prescription for reimbursement – please check with yours.
3. Do You Direct Bill My Insurance Company?
We direct bill to Canada Life, Blue Cross, & Sunlife. If you have insurance through another company we will provide you with an invoice that can be submitted for reimbursement.
4. What Should I Expect?
Your first appointment will consist of an initial assessment & treatment which will last approximately 60 minutes. Follow up sessions can be 30 or 60 minutes depending upon each patients individual needs.
5. What Do I Need To Bring?
We recommend bringing comfortable clothing that allows the area of concern to be accessed easily. These include items such as shorts, sweat pants, tights, t-shirt and or tank top.
6. What Methods Of Payment Do You Accept?
We accept cash, debit, credit card, & E-transfer.
7. What Are Video Visits?
Video Visits (Online Physiotherapy) are the delivery of rehab services via the internet. Think FaceTime, Skype, or a Zoom call, but more secure! It will typically consist of an Assessment & Treatment, with treatment taking place through Education, Movement, & Practical Recommendations.
Video Visits have become popular since Covid-19 (Coronavirus) has lead to social distancing for the time being.
